Calacatta
Extracted from the Apuan Alps in northern Tuscany, Calacatta marble has been for centuries the most recurrent stone in the decoration of cathedrals due to its tonal purity, in addition to being the favorite material of the greatest sculptors, such as Michelangelo himself.
Calacatta is a washbasin in which the artist faithfully reproduces the beauty of natural white and the incomparable veining that presents thin amber veins. The faithful replica of this marble on porcelain, hand-painted using thin and successive layers of mattifying pigment and subtle lines drawn freehand with soft sable brushes; It allows you to enjoy the timelessness, elegance and purity of marble while also avoiding the drawbacks of natural stone such as its weight, porosity and sensitivity to use.
This piece represents the exquisiteness of nature through the virtuous hands of the artist.
