Teide
At the beginning of the 20th century, abstract painting saw the light of day in Europe, and from then on it became not only another pictorial medium, but also one of the best ways to represent without words everything that becomes indeterminate.
The Teide washbasin is an exercise in abstract representation in which the artist uses ceramic pigments to directly decorate the porcelain by hand. Focusing on generating concentric spots with a material and imprecise appearance that, however, are rhythmic and harmonious. This is a sink with a simple appearance but whose decoration requires the complexity of formulas of gently matted vitrifiable colors, which translates into a deep knowledge of the ceramic medium and its handling.
Teide unfadingly represents the beauty of painting in its purest conceptualization.
